Tonight's post is about questions of sexuality.
It's funny that people won't directly ask me what my sexual orientation is. I don't know if they don't want to offend me if I was straight, whether its inappropriate to directly ask someone or whether it's all in my head. Either way there is definitely some questions which are directed towards me and my sexual oreintation.
Examples of these questions are as follows:
- Where do you go clubbing?
- Do you ever go to (inset common gay club here) ?
- Do you think (insert females name here) is attractive?
- She has a nice ass. What do you think?
- Do you have a partner? (Note the use of the politically correct term 'patner')
- Do you like penis? (Lol that one is just a joke)
I can't remember the last time I was directly asked if I was gay. It would have to be years ago when I struggled with the thought. If I was directly asked today and didn't want this person to know I think I would honestly struggle to deny it. I think thats a great thing though. I'm comfortable with myself and who I am and don't want to label myself as straight and have to correct this in future. I also hate having to reject girls without a honest answer.
Thats my little story of the day. Inspired by someone who said "they were trying to figure me out". They didn't get too far... well today anyway.

The real question is one I wouldn't ask you Andrew, or anyone else I thought of as a friend.
And I'm not at all sure I'd want to answer it myself anyway. But I suppose I'd have to say something like yes, but it's largely irrelevant coz I have a partner.

I hate lying, and I hate lying to my parents and those I call my friends, but each time they ask, I always lie. It's cool you may tell your parents, I really want to know how it goes.
So, do you like ass or pussy (friend asked my gay friend that, haha)?

I have a lot of it too - the questions.. My favourite though, is once a str8 guy finds out you gay, the stoopid questions that follow. I make a point of answering so honestly, it's enough to scare them off haha!
Gotta love those little mind games and word games people play to skirt around the issue.

In my coming out to people, I've found that the younger folks that I tell typically end up asking "20 questions" about anything and everything, including, but not limited to, "So who do you like... Brad Pitt, or Matt Damon?" or the even more basic "Would you go to Hooters?"
It's been fun answering such questions honestly!
